Pastor Training and Equipping Program
A Discipled Pastor for Every Town Church
The Pastor Training and Equipping (PTE) program is an informal non-academic program broken up in three ‘one’ month intensive terms a year for a period of two years. With a follow-up component between the terms where we use the Theological education by extension (TEE) model. The PTE program is designed for rural pastors, elders, church planters, church leaders and others interested in exploring their pastoral call.
The PTE program was birthed from a desire to see evangelical churches planted in Karamoja region with well equipped, trained and passionate pastors and leaders leading and shepherding God’s flock.
The aim of PTE is to equip, disciple and train rural pastors and leaders with a solid and practical biblical foundation in the gospel for life and ministry so that the pastor is built up for every good work in the Lord’s vineyard.
In the intensive one month terms, the participants are exposed to different facilitators from different parts of the world and different fields but with the same biblical inclination which will give them a rich diversity and exposure of learning and growth. With each facilitator or group of facilitators focusing on one topic for one week.
Applicants don’t need to have prior education or training but rather the only qualification is that they be confessing believers of our Lord Jesus.
Since each of our facilitators are mission minded partners and thereby have allowed to take care of their own facilitation, each participant is required to contribute to the feeding in kind or cash. And no participant is provided with transport to and from the program nor is there any facilitation for the participants.
All the one month intensive training takes place at the FMT camp Kamina in Lotim and the follow-up in their respective fields or homes.
Let's Go North
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20
