To plant and establish churches we have recognized a few things that are important and also some stages to go through to come to our objective of seeing a church planted in every trading centre.

Scouting

We start with scouting out new places. This involves us finding out where these towns are, how far the distances and the population their serving and their reception to the gospel. The scouting helps us start determining which place to go as we pray.

Prayer Walking/Access Ministries

After the scouting and earmarking a few towns based on their closeness to where we are staying and reception. We start spending time in these towns prayer walking, seeking the will of God in these towns, for direction, open doors/opportunities, spiritual warfare and person of peace.

We also may do an access ministry in that town to help us get persons of peace and even greater reception in the community. We have mainly been using medical missions.

Person of Peace

Our hope is that as we scout, pray and do access ministry that God will show us or lead us to persons of peace who would open up this town and community to himself. We recognize that there those people who may welcome us to the community but may never come to necessarily believe but may help us settle and become familiar to their town. And those people who will be more than welcomers to the community but also spiritual means with which the gospel will flow out to their own people.

Bible Studies

It’s with these persons of peace that we initiate bible studies and ask them to invite their friends and relatives. So we do these studies long enough to see either growth in the desire for God or a lack of reception/response to the gospel message itself. And where there is growth, we start earmarking one or two people who show consistent desire for God and his work and then start intentionally walking even more closely with them, doing one on ones with them to individually and closely nurture that desire and pursuit for God and we also invite them for our Pastors training program to continue discipling them and equipping them for the work the Lord may have for them.

Church Plant

When the Discovery bible group continues to be consistent in study together, growth in desire and conversions we then plant a church congregation. The missionary starts leading these small congregations with the help of the other one or two people who he/she is walking with intentionally and individually. And the missionary gradually gives more and more responsibility to the people he/she is walking with until eventually he/she feels they are able to shepherd God’s flock on their own.

Leadership Development

Leadership development continues, to make sure these men the missionary is walking with are well equipped, growing, walking with the Lord and making other disciples. The missionary continues with the one on ones or life on life discipleship, Pastors training and equipping program, exposure trips and other things that the missionary feels may be helpful for the growth of the ones he is walking with.

The hope is that these disciples will in turn disciple others and thus multiplication of both disciples and leaders till the whole land is reached.
